I brought this little fixed blade through here ( ie: from a member ) in excellent nick.
I started using it as my work knife firstly because we sell Falkniven ( it is nice to have something you sell as your EDC) and just for the "any excuse to play with a new toy" type thingy.
This the straight VG10 version not the flasher 3g or laminate.
I really like it. It is comfortable to hold. slices really well. I have found it in my pocket more and more.
I resharpen it on my Spyderco then strop it out quiet a bit ( shit loads actually) the Vg10 holds the edge well. The one I have is the neck sheath version but I just drop it in my pocket. It is probably a bit big for normal a pocket sized knife. But I don't care. I have used it for everything from opening packets ( no real trial there) to kitchen duties. Sitting the back yard converting a sleeper into a toothpick while the boy chases the Geese around the yard.
After reading Perksys copy of Mors Kochanski "Bushcraft" I have started stropping in earnest. Kochanski speaks of stropping some knives up to 200 times. I thought I needed to have a review of how I was finishing my sharpening procedure. I has made quiet a difference. But I'll start another thread on that.
I'm not worried about this not being the laminate version strength wise. The logic I'm using is this is a smaller fixed blade. I really should only be using it for slicing not the prying I might do with something a bit bigger.
Overall I'm pretty stoked with it.
I don't carry it much outside of work or home, but is because I have others to choose from, And I reckon I have a better chance of talking my way out of a "possession in public" with a small folder than with a fixed blade of any size.

Good read Carl,

the idea of a small sheathed 'pocket' knife is appealing, i think the BRKT that you bought of me would be good for that, have you used it that way ?.

Nice review Carl. I'm happy it's been put to good use.

Yeah Tini, I did a little bit. But for work since we don't retail BRKT ( yet) I think it is better to have something in your pocket that people can see in the cabinet.
