Much loved and admired, but never been carried, used or sharpened.

The cordage is my own embellishment. Dark OD with white-glo.

Apologies for the poor photos. Rest assured this is in excellent condition.

Here's a file photo (better than mine), shows more accurate colour, see B:

I was thinking that one day I would do some custom scale pieces for it. Alas, I've decided to spend my shekels on other projects.

I reckon the ruckus would be a great knife, as a user or a collectors peice.

What do you blokes thing of the axis lock?

The axis lock is a snap to use. (pun intended)

The few times I did have the knife out of the box, I found it easy to flick open with one hand and lock solid.

But I never used the knife to cut anything, so I can't tell you how well the lock would hold in a real life situation.

Had them before and I think they are fine.

That are probably more secure than a liner lock imo (more meat to meat) but as you know that all depends on how well they are made.

SOG and Cold Steel offer similar locks.

One handed closing you have to be careful though if your method is not right.

Good score Aptari!

I'm a big fan of Axis Locks :D (and Arc Lock seems even better). If you hold the lock open you can swing them open, but in my experience that doesn't work as well as the standard thumb-flick you may use on any thumbstud folder (minimal friction from the lock so they open smooth and easy). The quick easy one hand closing is the real bonus imho.

BTW that thing must be a monster! I have the "Mini" version and it's not a small knife! Photo actual size?!? :p
