I received this knife today - a Sebenza made by CRKT that never made it to market. If anyone's interested I've posted a review in KF

Yep it was me. Thanks for your kind words

I tried to take up the Poms on their generous invitation to join - 2 attempts with no results - no response from 'contact support' - otherwise I would have given the review to them. Burnt that bridge now!

But the bit about the knife being stolen really needed an appropriate response - it is not acceptable to accuse someone of being a thief without any evidence and it could have been easily resolved by 1 email to the seller -and my thanks was genuine even if it was given a trifle harshly/sarcastically. I did my own research so didn't let their doubts and negativity override my judgement

Good review mate, I didnt even now CRKT had made a prototype of the classic sebenza. I wonder why they didnt try & do a better job with QC, they could have really done well with that just like the Buck/Strider collaboration.

It definately loks a bit rough compared to the CRK but still a fantastic find & a great addition to your collection.

Thanks Acero

CRKT has had several succesful collaborations but this wasn't one of them. CRK and CRKT got together to produce a more affordable version of the Sebenza. A few of the pre-sales promo samples made it to various dealers and sales reps - mine came from a sporting goods salesman (nice bloke BTW) who bought it as a sales sample. CR was very unhappy with the results, pulled the plug on the whole deal and apparently all the ones still waiting to be shipped fromn Taiwan (and any that CR got his hands on) were destroyed. I have no idea how many survived but I doubt that too many remained NIB so real happy I managed to score this one.
