Three daggers: from top, Sheffield leather ring handle, Used condition FS and Sheffield Stag handle dagger with leather sheath. All knives are solid and both sheffield knives are in good condition.

how good quality is the sheffield stag handle?

Mate, its in pretty good shape. Pretty much it is as in the pic, no loose parts. I would say it is about about 50's or 60's not one of the newer shefield knives.

i wonder how the quality would compare to my puma hunters pal of about the same vintage

I haven't seen any Sheffield knives of this period that would really compare to an old Puma, but in saying that, they wern't bad, but definatly could have been purchased for a bit less.

The old Pumas are really nice, its a shame the company went the way they did.

Went out the back anmd noticed a panel in the window had been nocked out and one of our dive bags on the ground. They did't take anything though, they must ahve been scared off.. F@#kin lowlifes!!!

what sort of steel is that case bowie? i`m assuming full tang?

Mate, I am not to sure what steel it is. It has a 9.5 inch blade and is highly polished, there is not a spec of rust or discolouration, so I assume it is a stainless of some type. There are three riverts in the handle, but you can bot see the tang. This design has been around since WW2, and case is a good brand, so I am sure the quality and construction are up to scratch.

The knife also comes with a very nice tooled leather sheath, and the presentation box is in good condition.
